For a community to be able successfully come together to tackle shared challenges, a sense of social cohesion is critical. This is especially true in diverse societies and those facing conflict or crisis. We work with all members of a community—local leaders, civil society representatives, women, youth, and marginalized groups—to jointly address and resolve conflicts. Through dialogue, joint problem-solving, and resource mobilization, diverse individuals strengthen their sense of unity and their willingness to cooperate on common goals. This sense of social cohesion helps to address community challenges, mitigate drivers of future conflict, and lay the groundwork for a better future.
