Protecting Human Rights

Respect for human rights is critical to having a equitable, inclusive, and just democracy. We work with governments and civil society to strengthen human rights protections. Together, we promote democratic space, strengthen human rights advocacy and monitoring, and prevent discrimination and exclusion of vulnerable groups while improving their access to services. Key to our success is strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations and the public to constructively engage the government on human rights issues as well as building trust between key public institutions and their constituents to collaborate on human rights concerns.
