This program supports the implementation of Bahrain’s unified personal status law through engagement with youth, legal professionals, parliamentarians, and the broader public. The personal status law governs matters of marriage, family, inheritance, citizenship, and other related areas. This engagement focuses on:
- improving public awareness
- promoting acceptance and fair access to the law’s provisions
- working with legal professionals and civil society to understand regional best practices in order to advocate for future amendments
