Yemen Rapid Response Support

Peace agreements and ceasefires mean little if they are not accompanied by tangible progress toward peace in local communities. Building the capacity of local actors to translate these agreements into concrete improvements will increase their legitimacy in the eyes of the local community.

Recognizing the dual importance of promoting sustainability and responding to urgent needs, PartnersGlobal and Partners Yemen are working to build the capacity of CSOs and local authorities to collaboratively lead future stabilization efforts. We do this by providing tangible improvements to Yemenis’ daily lives through locally prioritized projects – i.e., building a well or repairing the roof of a school — along with targeted messaging on ways to advance peace. We thus aim to enhance the sustainability of peace agreements by engaging local civil society, governance, and media actors to press for specific, practical actions to further implementation.
