Partners Lebanon

Partners Lebanon, a  member of the Partners Network headquartered in Beirut, infuses arts programming with conflict mediation tools to bridge cultural divides and cultivate a sense of unity and belonging in Lebanese communities. By using the arts as tools for grassroots conflict management, Partners Lebanon promotes sustainable peace, especially among youth, to advance social cohesion and resilience of future generations.

With 20 years of experience, Partners Lebanon Director May Nasr brings expertise in grassroots entrepreneurship, training, capacity building, and conflict mediation. She has worked in Lebanon and throughout the Middle East and Arab Region (Yemen, Jordan, Tunisia, Bahrain, Syria)  on USAID and UNDP-funded programs, as well as for local and international NGOs. At the regional level, Ms. Nasr has coordinated with municipal and local leaders to work with urban and rural communities on economic growth initiatives targeting women entrepreneurs and marginalized groups. As a prominent Lebanese musician, Ms. Nasr understands the unifying power of music and art in promoting peace and unity in Lebanon and the region.

Partners Lebanon aims to achieve the following:

  •  Collaborate: with local NGOs/CSOs and serve as a convener of thought leadership
  •  Unify: Advance social cohesion and promote peace through collaborative arts and music
  • Respond: Utilize our advocacy, training, and mentorship resources to respond to local needs
  • Amplify: Give a voice to marginalized communities and offer opportunities regardless or religion, age, gender, education or ideology
