Access Nigeria and Access Sierra Leone

Transparency and accountability are important characteristics for building legitimacy and restoring citizen trust in the government. With Access Nigeria, PartnersGlobal supports citizen-led advocacy that promotes improved relationships with the justice and security sectors, while also decreasing impunity.

In its third iteration Access-Nigeria focuses on anti-corruption efforts, by educating citizens about government led efforts to address corruption, collaborating with federal and state ministries and agencies to implement budget transparency, freedom of information asset recovery, and open procurement commitments in Nigeria’s Open Government Partnership Action Plan.

PartnersGlobal, New-Rule, and PWA-N are working closely to lay the groundwork to implement the Facilitating, Accountability, Integrity, and Resistance (FAIR) pilot in Nigeria.

With the Access project, we have created justice sector-focused web tools and citizens are better equipped to interact with the government and contribute to court processes, monitor government budget allocations and spending, and develop a sense of ownership towards citizen security issues.
