Facilitate Citizen Involvement
Partners utilizes participatory methodologies to transform dormant or ineffective legislation into living, responsive public policies that build democratic communities. Utilizing cooperative planning, facilitated meetings, or other forms of cross-sector dialogue, Partners empowers its constituents to embrace existing legislation as an opportunity to advocate for their interests through official channels. The inclusion of government officials in these processes provides the legitimacy necessary to effect sustainable change, and the cross-sector cooperation often yields community improvements beyond what one group could accomplish on its own.
Highlights of Partners' work in facilitating citizen involvement in public policies include:
- Partners-Argentina utilized a cooperative planning process
to implement legislation mandating citizen participation
in public safety, resulting in the creation of neighborhood
public security forums in several communities in Buenos
Aires Province. Click

Program, a Montenegrin team of participants facilitated

and the municipalities plan to adopt the process for future
decision-making. Click
