Partners in Asia
Partners opened the first Asian Center in Indonesia in 2010 dedicated to peace-building, local governance and anti-corruption. We have also implemented projects in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The very diverse countries that make up this region present unique challenges in terms of the development of democracy. Partners cross-sector, facilitative approach is particularly applicable when the government is distrustful of civil society actors and participation by citizens. We work with local professionals to find strategic openings for connecting civil society, government and business, to promote a culture of democratic participation.
