Public Information & Engagement
Partners provides the crucial link between technical policy development and the reality of citizens on the ground. We design forums and processes through which citizens provide input into new laws and policies as they are developed. We help educate and inform citizens about changes in the law so that they can be a constructive part of implementation.
Our public information and engagement work is carefully customized for each country and program, for example, Partners-Albania organized a series of seminars across the country in which local business owners could learn about the government’s e-procurement system. In Jordan, Partners spearheaded a coalition of NGOs that gathered feedback from the NGO sector on a new, modernized NGO law and worked with the government to integrate that input into the law. In Indonesia, Partners worked with a network of official moneychangers to promote their services, and discourage the corruption-prone practice of unofficial money changing.
