Catalysts for Democratic Change in the Americas

Multi-lateral institutions are essential for global good governance, diplomacy, and promoting democratic values. PartnersGlobal is registered as a civil society partner to the Organization for American States (OAS) and spent two years working closely with the U.S. State Department and OAS staff to help educate civil society throughout the region on the Inter-American Democratic Charter. The Partners Network members in Latin America came together with the Red Democracia Activa to design a curriculum on the importance of the Charter, to provide in-person and distance education to disseminate the educational program and to spearhead collaborative advocacy tools for civil society leaders in 12 countries throughout the Americas. Over 200 civil society leaders participated in this initiative, and PartnersGlobal continues to convene this same network of activists for important regional advocacy efforts.
