Increasing the Role of Roma in the Media

The EU and the Hungarian Government have funded this project to increase the number of young Roma media professionals and reduce prejudice and bias.

Partners Hungary is implementing this project to increase the representation of Roma in the media and to create a realistic picture of the Roma instead of the current one that reflects widespread biases against them. The project has two components: 1) Training and internships for young Roma to become media professionals, to increase the number of Roma professionals working in the media. 2. The trained young Roma will design and deliver a national media campaign to create a more realistic public perception of Roma.
