Executive Director Julia Roig's recent article in "The Americas Project" discussed the challenges facing the Americas in the 21st century, and the consequent need to strengthen the Organization of American States (OAS) led inter-American democratic system and its main instruments, including the Inter-American Democratic Charter and the Declarations and Plans of Action of the Summits of the Americas.
The article features Partners' "Catalysts for Democratic Change in the Americas" (CDCA) program, which works to build understanding of the Inter-American Democratic Charter among civil society, and to strengthen capacities to collaboratively defend and promote democracy.
