U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton meets with Civil Society Representatives in Yemen
On her recent trip to Yemen, Secretary Clinton met civil society leaders, among them the director of Partners Yemen, Nadwa Al-Dawsari.
On January 11th, as part of a series of meetings with governmental and non-governmental leaders in Yemen, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton held a town hall meeting with civil society leaders, students as well as nongovernmental organization representatives, among them Partners’ Nadwa Al-Dawsari. This is a recognition of the work of Partners Yemen, which has been committed to advancing conflict resolution, civic engagement and women’s leadership development in the country.
Beforehand, Secretary Clinton discussed a range of bilateral issues with President Saleh and also met with opposition leaders. She stressed U.S. support for a unified, stable, democratic, and prosperous Yemen.
