Workshop’s attendants

As part of the project Catalysts for Democratic Change in the Americas (CDCA), Partners Argentina completed a workshop titled “Tools for Democratic Transformation in the Bicentennial of Argentina” at the School of Politics and Government of the National University of San Martin on July 14th and 15th. The CDCA project is an initiative led by the regional partners of Partners for Democratic Change International (PDCI) in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico.

The workshop had the objective of promoting the discussion about the implementation of the Inter-American Democratic Charter and to identify collaborative advocacy tools and processes to apply the Charter.  In this workshop, the guest speakers discussed the following topics:

    • Promote dialogue between civil society actors in Argentina about the state of democracy in the region and the usefulness of the Inter-American Democratic Charter
    • Discuss applicability of conflict transformation tools and consensus building mechanisms for addressing the problems of democracy
    • Share ideas about strengthening democracy in Argentina at the bicentennial

For more information, please see the workshop report (in Spanish).
