Gifted
Young Artists' 'Colorful' Talents Displayed at Local Art Gallery
Sixteen
talented young Roma and non-Roma artists were recruited
to join the “Colorful Bridges” project, part of the Roma
Integration Program’s sub-granting program. The children
received training and support from their experienced instructor
and produced paintings for an exhibition held recently at
the Gallery at the Sitting Angel in Kežmarok, Slovakia.
The exhibition opening event was widely publicized and attendance
was high. In fact, a second event was organized to accommodate
those who could not be at the first opening.
These children previously had little access to trained
instructors or expensive art supplies, but will now likely
go on to study in more advanced art schools. For photos
and more information (in Slovak), please visit www.galeriauanjela.sk/farebnemosty.
